before the rain comes
I had to get some shots - because it is going to rain for the next three days - and you know what that does to the roses :(

Garden of Eden

I spotted these on a walk I took today. This variety of rose, EDEN, is a wonderful climber. I have it in my own garden because it provides so many beautiful blooms.

#18: Chamomile Love

chamomile love

Chamomile or camomile (from Greek χαμαίμηλον, chamaimēlon, meaning "earth-apple"[1]) is a common name for several plants. The word, a combination of χαμαί (chamai) "on the ground" + μήλον (mēlon) "apple", derives from their applelike scent. It has been used as a dye to produce a green color. (from Wikipedia) Chamomile is one of my all time favorite herbs to grow. I take the flower tops and make some tea, as this little beauty is widely known for its treatment for sleeplessness; anxiety; and upset tummies! It is so easy to grow, and self-seeds from year to year. I love it when I find chamomile growing between the cracks in my sidewalk or in a new spot in the garden! I took this shot at sunset - and since I didn't have a tripod, the shot was a little shaky. So, if you feel like you just had one too many glasses of wine, it's not you it's me....

#12: Thoughts of Love

THOUGHTS OF LOVE

In the Spring a fuller crimson comes upon the robin's breast;
In the Spring the wanton lapwing gets himself another crest;
In the Spring a livelier iris changes on the burnished dove;
In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.
-Tennyson
